Your travelcards (GA travelcards, Half-Fare travelcards, Track 7, regional travelcards etc.) can also be loaded really easily onto your SwissPass and then shown to the ticket inspector in digital format for added convenience.

What’s more, SBB Mobile keeps you updated throughout your journey with real-time information about delays and transfer times. The app also brings you exclusive ticket offers such as the Saver Day Pass and supersaver tickets.

Data security and authorisations.

What permissions does SBB Mobile need and why?

Location:
For connections from your current location, the GPS function must be activated so that SBB Mobile can find the nearest stop. This also applies if you want to have the nearest stop displayed in the timetable.

Calendar and e-mail:
You can save connections in your own calendar and send them by e-mail (to friends, an external calendar). SBB Mobile requires read and write permissions to be able to import your desired connection into the calendar.

Access to the camera:
In order to take photos for the personalised touch timetable in SBB Mobile itself, the app requires access to your camera. You will be asked for permission under the menu item “hardware controls Android camera”.

Internet access:
SBB Mobile requires Internet access to timetable information and Ticket Shop data so that the app can answer your enquiries.

Memory:
To support offline functions, e.g. station/stop list, connections (route info) and ticket purchasing, SBB Mobile requires access to your device’s memory (saving app-specific settings).

This app is a must for travellers who are exploring Switzerland on their own by using public transportation. It provides next upcoming connections between any two locations by train/bus/boat. I found it very handy & easy to use.

Trips and Tickets has a bug. I have already cleared my cache/data to try to resolve this but it keeps happening. Expired recurring trips stay & cannot be deleted either in the 3 dots menu or top right button & swiping left to delete. Please fix. Need option to refresh trip times above to current time. Departure tables is very nice but is not usable in it's current state for HB because too many trains leave at once. Need more departures shown because only 5 is very limited. Please fix. Galaxy S9+

Seriously flawed - not SBB standard! This app falls far short of what one would expect of (arguably!) Europe's best rail operator. There is no offline functionality at all (for obvious topographical reasons much of Switzerland has patchy data signal coverage) - and even with a strong signal the app sometimes simply does not work, in that it fails to recognise stations (such as that obscure halt, Bern Hauptbahnhof!) or to find any! While without realtime info, I recommend CG Transit or Můj Vlak.

Usability = ZERO, Intelligence = ZERO Answer from SBB: "Too bad you don't like SBB Mobile." Really? This sound like you don't really care. I would expect an answer like "We do everything to improve the usability and intelligence of SBB App."

it's practical and overall I like it (except that my swisspass picture is oversaturated and looks ugly lol). so far there's been one thing that annoyed me though: why can't you check the train formation when accessing the train from "My Departure Boards"? I always have to check through the Standard Timetable and very rarely use the Departure Board itself because of that.
