Still Dreadful. A gigantic steaming Turd of an app. Clearly the 5 star revues are bogus or are from people who have never used the i-player radio app. The developers respond to the made up praise so it is probably pointless to comment further. Use Castbox instead that works really well.

BBC Radio Iplayer suffered from the inability to index programmes properly but at least if you wanted, say, to look for a generic crime drama it was easy to find through the structured search. BBC Sounds is even worse. E.g. crime drama on front page very limited yet 3 Chen dramas are on the site. How is anyone to find out about them? Also app hangs often, much slower than other audio apps.

Nothing loads properly, even after resarting phone. Never had these issues using BBC radio player app. 😑

Since the new update drops playback regularly whilst becoming incredibly slow to respond and use. If you still have the old iPlayer radio app for god's sake don't delete it!

Horrible.. I want to listen to the radio I choose.. don't want the razz.. don't want irrelevant suggestions \" Chosen for you\".. no.. it's advertising, it's spam! Bring back the BBC radio app... Did everything it needed to with no interference. Also, does not work on some older devices but try to open BBC radio app and tells you it is discontinued and to use Sounds.. which tells you that it is incompatible with the device.. impossible. And how does it get 2.5 stars with all the 0 star reviews??

Complicated and frustrating. Doesn't play episodes in order. Almost impossible to scroll without accidentally clicking on something. IPlayer radio was a much better platform. Another example of someone demonstrating what they can do rather than actually thinking about the user experience. Pathetic app.

I hated the idea of changing from the iPlayer Radio app and only, downloaded this when forced. Judging by the reviews, I was expecting something truly awful. But I was pleasantly surprised. The interface is easy to use \u0026 it seems straightforward to find what I'm looking for. It does push music mixes in which I have no interest (which you'd have thought would be evident from my listening history). I'd also like to be able to categorise my subscriptions. At the moment, they appear in one long list

Poor layout. Starts playing unrelated content when podcasts finish. iPlayer radio was easy to navigate and reliable. BBC Sounds is hard to navigate, poorly organised and seems to be mostly interested in hyping other BBC podcasts

Awful. Difficult to browse caregories and I hate the way it plays random things that I haven't chosen after my chosen programme has finished. Why change the superb iplayer??
